Rogers Park Farms has been formed to support local, community food systems. Our goal is to encourage community and economy development through neighborhood food production, preparation and exchange. Rogers Park Farms seeks to support access to healthy and culturally important foods and to reduce the ecological footprint of food systems. An important first step is to pursue the acquisition and joint development of the vacant property at the southeast corner of Ashland Avenue and Howard street for affordable housing; retail commercial and an urban farm.
